Beaautiful Image Girish...Lovely DOF, Details, Exposure, BG, composition, Head turn and perch...and you handled the light pretty well here to avoid any shadows on bird..

At best one would have got it. Excellent settings and i really like you shoot at that iso regularly that shows the richness of co-operation by birds in your area with nice rich light that allows such settings :)

Agree with all of the comments, I always enjoy your photo's.
One minor Critique I have, is the shadow on the rock perch.
I might try to lighten and neutralize it a bit.

Nice work there Girish. Getting a Hoopoe these days in India, one has to be lucky I guess.
Beautiful perch, head angle and eye contact. May be you can lighten the shadow on the rock perch as suggested by donkearl.
