I spend so much time at my favorite duck pond, these little guys are getting used to me
and I can get close-ups with patience. (Female Bufflehead)

Dan:

These little ducks are very cute, and this hen is sweet.

She looks quite coy. Drops are good, eye looks very lively.

The whites on the cheek look overexposed.

If you have a sliver more room on the right, that would work well.

Cheers

I love the female Buffies and this is a great shot of one. Terrific detail, HA, water drops and eye catch. The shadow on the bird's left side is a bit strong and the white on the face looks like it has lost all detail.

Dan, nice and sharp capture. The white spot seems without detail. You could try a linear burn here. If the HA would be more parallel to the sensor the shadow on the right side of the head would be less distracting. Needs more room on the right.

Lucky you to get so close. Nice water movement, detail and I love the water drops on the head.

Real nice shot. Great pose and head angle. Great detail, but do agree that the white spot seems a tad hot. Other than that
Well done.
