Love the B&W treatment here Loong, with nice expressions on both mum and baby.
Puzzled as to why f/7 wasn't enough to have the baby sharp as well, I think mum agrees with me.:bg3:

Despite the slight softness in the baby, this is a brilliant composition and I love the b&w conversion.

Wonderful interaction between the two, and the conversion is excellent.

I would perhaps try a localised LCE and sharpening on the youngster if you have not already done so.

Hi folks
Thanks so much for your kind comments. I am also a little surprised that the aperture wasn't enough and can only surmise that the distance from the subject was so close(minimum focussing distance for the 600mm) that the DOF was relatively shallow.I have increased the sharpening of junior in the repost.

I agree on the DOF, always a challenge with long lenses at close quarters.
