beautiful bird and well captured Ken....some how I feel BG is bit distracting if mine I will apply the lens blur selectively on BG and tone it down a bit...

Nice head turn towards the viewer, good low angle and the shade well handled. Colors look spot on. Busy BG for me is distracting, could also be toned down in brightness. Also the fine details are lacking as the feathers look course (almost noisy)...Otherwise a pleasing image TFS Ken!

Wow, that's quite the spur - must be a handy thing to have when being attacked by some predator or competitor! Love the detail, head turn, comp, exposure. Very nice Ken.

Great to see here, haven't seen too many here on BPN from memory, nice and sharp, good detail & HA Ken, BG could be better but understand that's not always possible.

Nice low angle and pose with the head turned our way. I like the vegetation on the ground surrounding this fella, but the brighter streaks in the background do distract.

Aptly named species!!

Thanks for your comments, actually the BG does not treally bother me as it is very rare to see them away from the scrub as it is their escape route.
