Hi Folks;

Some simple embossing of a Raven I captured in Fry's parking one day. First embossed it in ACD 14, opened in CS5, copied BG color, clicked File>New, made finished size,> background color>resolution 72. Took BG into free Fotosketcher >Oil Painting>Strong texture>no frame. In CS5 I moved textured Raven on to new BG, fiddled with Edit>Stroke and added border in ACD14. First time I ever toned down the glint.

Comments welcome and always appreciated

Keep smiling

Gus

BTW: I sure admire the great posts submitted redently, especially the effort to hike up to the Buddist temple - Awesome :c3:

I like the embossed look, and the coloring is effective and appropriate. The variations in the background are nice. Thanks for explaining how you produced it.

Very cool effect you created, Gus. Looks like a metal engraving or mold. Very creative and definitely OOTB!

Gus, Excellent processing for a different look. I love the textured background and your border. I wonder if the eye got moved a bit when embossed- it seems a bit high. Nice job and thank you for sharing your workflow as always.:S3:

Gus, you have captured a unique look at the raven, one of my favorite birds. I like the rough weathered look on the textured surface. I think this would look very nice printed on canvas. TFS the workflow here:S3:
