Old picture from files, this is the session that got me obsess with bird photography. This is within the first year of start shooting, and the first month of buying the 100-400 lens and tripod. I was re-thinking why spending money on equipment, since probably it will be cheaper to buy the pictures I liked... but then I realize that the best part of nature photography is be out there and witnessing events like this.

As you can tell, I am emotionally attached to this picture, so my judgment is bias, go ahead and be brutally honest.

Exposure and details are good, tough one to crop!!

Yikes, this is cool! I agree with you say about being out there...nothing compares to witnessing and capturing images of events like this. I'd be hardpressed to find a negative here, but I guess I could mention the tall strand of grass at left. Very well done!

Wow Raul great image the dual eye contact is great. These catfish are invasive and are doing well all over the US and hawaii now. They live anywhere in any condtions and tunnel into the shore banks casuing serious erosion, and not many animals can catch or eat them.

I would crop off that blade of grass to the left, otherwise I love it.
