Not sure I have correctly identified the kind of flower.
The flower was on private property and I was not able to get a good background, so I darkened the background in Photoshop.

I like the processing effect, its like the old Dragan look, in fact I like everything about it except for the slight halo at the top edge of the flower.

Hi Robert --
Thanks for the suggestion regarding the halo. I noticed it, left it alone, but wondered about that. It's easy enough to fix. I left it because it gives a little separation of the seed head from the background, but it seems like it is more of a distraction than a contribution.

Hey Kent, I really like the look, it has that nice painted feel. I like the flowers pose, and I would lose the halo, and let the flower fade into the BG..

Thanks, all.
Mike -- How can I make the flower fade into the background? I'm not sure I know what you mean, but it sounds like something I'd be interested in trying.
I;ve removed the halo in my Master copy.
