I agree with the others for the reasons why this is so appealing.

As an alternative, I would suggest some Local Contrast Enhancement. This will bring up some detail in the trees and barn at the expense of the foggy effect. So a matter of taste if you try it.

Beautifully captured. I love the composition and the fog gives this scene such serenity. It's too bad the leaves have already fallen off of the trees but the weather in the northeast was just brutal for our foliage this year. Nothing we can do about that except wait for next year (a familiar refrain for Red Sox fans--lol). Cheers!

I love the soft dreamy feel here - almost like an Orton Effect has been applied by the fog :Whoa!:
Nice and simplistic - often the best photos are created by following this approach...

I did like the soft yellow color when I saw the barn. I think if I did anything to it I would desaturate the green just a bit.

I don't know if leaves would have helped. They might have just made the barn color less prominent.

I agree with you about the leaves. I also agree about desaturating the green a little, but I still think it's a dynamite image the way it is.

Hi Alan, I would leave it as is also. Love the fog and the early winter tree...I think leaves would spoil the look you have here.
