sweet light and a nice settings Dan, love the topside detail. I'd back off on sharpening a tad.

The wingspread and unusual perch make this one for me. Nice light too,

I really like the early morning light on this cormorant's wings. Nice overall balance to the composition. The detail around the bird's eye, and on top of the bird's beak, doesn't look quite right on my monitor (perhaps light angle and/or oversharpening?).

Dan, these guys make such great images when they are perched and drying their wings. Well exposed on a difficult character. Could you have moved more to your left to capture a complete symmetrical pose.

Oh how I love these guys and Anhingas as well. As nice to catch them as they are drying their wings out. Very interesting stump of wood you found this guy on. The slight head turn and fully captured wing spread make this for me. Sharpening looks fine to me.
