Louie,
This is a WOW image. The perch is superb and creates a great diagonal line. Colors are soft and muted and complimentary. The look back pose is always a winner. IQ and EXP are excellent. I would clone out the blackish blobs in the BG- especially the one above the perch. TFS and well done,
Gail

Thanks Gail, I appreciate your comments and suggestions. On the version I printed I did indeed clone the black spots out.

What a beautiful portrait of this peregrine. The details on the back are exquisite. Was it raining or had it just bathed?
Wish we could see the tail but this is lovely as it is. I like your frame.

Thanks for commenting Melissa, it was raining cats and dogs, but had let up for a few minutes. It was during that let up that I poked my lens out the widow of my truck and took these shots.

Great detail and sharpness.
Just an excellent photo of the most beautiful raptor.
Congrats on this photo.

This shot oozes with quality, I love the textures and the colours. The pose is excellent and I like the background, I think had it been completely bland and structureless it would not look so natural.

Louie:

Very good IQ, pose is great, wet look go well with subdued lighting. The angles formed by the bird and stump work well.

If the bird had perched so the tail was in front of the trunk, it would have been spectacular.

I would consider a small crop down from the top.

Cheers

Apart from the fabulous perch and superb clarity, what makes the pic great is that the background is grey.

Thanks very much, the background was a sand dune behind the perch.
