when the going gets tough at the anhinga trail, we take flower pictures!!:D almost full frame and only added a little brightness, contrast and sharpening.

Wish you had not added contrast, it makes it look like it was done later that it was. I would also get a few point sat off the greens.

i was torn with that and paid more attention to the histogram. should of being viewing a little more with my heart than trying to be technically correct. this one is pretty much straight from the camera with just a bit of USM.

Looks good Harold !!! I like the re post a lot better !!! Sometimes less is more !!! The second has much more feel and does look natural !!!

Nice colors and contrast, and the comp is pleasing also.

The center of the bloom is overly bright in the first post, in the second the flower looks flat. Would look great if you could leave out the origional brightness adjustment if you ask me. Curves adjustments are the preferred methond to make the image tones lighter and pop more, but you can leave the whites as is.

Hi Harold, I like the basic COMP here but am not a big fan of the black BKGRs. Was it windy when you made this image? For my tastes, most flower images made in bright sun would be improved by shading the entire subject. You can do that by having a friend stand in the right spot or using a diffuser of some sort.
