Flamingo Family, Lake Nakuru Kenya
This image was made at Lake Nakuru in Kenya. The Flamingos tend to group together in little packs and walk along the beach in a ritual like manner, perhaps for breeding purposes...I am not sure. This is a small group, some are much larger.
I used a little healing brush on the background in a couple small spots to wipe out a stray dark beak or 2..maybe not the best way to do it.

Really interesting image. Are their pupils so small they just don't show?

George:
Besides the color, I love the symetry of the heads and legs. Really striking.
Thanks

George, I like everything about the image - except the eyes. This puts me in the minority, evidently :) but the glowing neon red eyes make these look like some sort of "demon-birds." I don't know if they really look that bright in the field, but if this was mine, I would likely tone down the red a bit.
