Jackal pups in Olare Orok Conservancy, Kenya last month. An hour or so after dawn. Four pups playing with some leftover bits of a gazelle fawn. These two are watching the other two launch a raid to reclaim what appears to be a well-chewed bit of bone, but could be anything.

I like the light and where it fell and the alert poses but wasn't initially sure about the head angles - as a pair.

This wasn't originally even in my shortlist for posting here, but it keeps on growing on me so I'll let it have it's day. Cropped a bit (mostly top and left); otherwise just a little dodging and burning and sharpening - didn't even adjust colour apart from my Lightroom presets.

Beutiful light on these Paul. I might be tempted to get rid of a bit more FG....but very nice overall!

Hi Paul, totally agree with Romans comments, would lose about half the depth of the FG, just tightens up the composition.

Nicely done with the kit.

Beautiful light and exposure on the two pups. Like the body language displayed here. Would agree with a tighter crop.

I agree with Roman's crop suggestion, but the light is very nice, and the poses are fine,
especially the one on the right.

Thank you very much all. Appreciated, and I can see what you mean with the foreground.

Great light and interaction. Like the shadows. Adds a little depth to the image.

Paul,

Always marvelous to see young Jackals they are so beautiful, great poses here

Clearly your "kit" is far better than some percieve, lets face it a 24.6 mps should be pretty good, I am very impressed especially considering the cost.

Beautiful light in this one Paul, brings out the the rich, earthy colors. NIce poses by both but the one on the right "closes" up the two nicely. Losing a little off the FG does look nice but it works as posted too.
