Prabir, nice low angle and pose. BG is ncie as well. Cropping a bit from bottom might be better. the rock there is distracting.

why spot metering?

Thanks Kaustabh. Well spot metering was just a mistake. I wasn't actually ready for the shot at all. We were at Mfuwe, South Luangwa, and were on our way back after packing up.
The bird suddenly came into view and didn't want to miss the chance. I know, matrix should have been the case.

Pabir - I really like this species and you have shown it well with a nice head angle. Agree with crop from below to reduce amount of oof foreground. I like the low angle. I might try a slightly tighter crop if you have the IQ.

Nice and sharp. Is that a bug near the base of the bill? I have spot metering disabled on all of my bodies :S3:....

Prabir, good low angle, and typically perched on grass. Nice and sharp with a good HA. Can I make you jealous by telling you that I have these guys in my garden all the time. :w3

Stuart, thanks for your appreciation.
Yes, I am feeling jealous. I had to go all the way to Africa to get it.
In india, I've got to travel at least 600-700 miles to see these birds.:S3:
