In the past we have usually visited Etosha in September /October but this year we went in June and the pan was very full indeed, with some Flamingos but none in reach:2eyes2:

EOS 1D MkIV

17-40mm F4 at 19mm

Ken - this one just doesn't have as much to hold my interest as your other more recent landscape posts. Also the color of the water is just not very attractive so not something I would call a wallhanger. Sorry.

Unlike the tree previously posted, I have to agree with Rachel here. There is just not enough visual interest going on here.

Hi Ken, perhaps some dramatic clouds or different time of day would help bring more in this scene. I do like the vastness here though.

Hey Ken, hope you managed more than 200 m down this muddy strip :eek3: Very simple reason no Flamingos here is the fact that some unconscious visitors removed the road obstructions up on the embankment and chase them off a in late May........ This image does not really stand alone but if you had to know what it normally looks like here , you would appreciate the amount of water there was................
