Another from my Lake Superior trip. This was shot at dusk from the rocky shoreline on Katherine Cove.

Nikon D200
Nikon 12-24mm lens @ 13mm
ISO 100
f22 @ 6 seconds
Singh Ray 2-stop grad filter
mirror-lock

Look forward to comments.

Nicely composed. I'd be interested to see if a longer exposure with a suitable ND to make the water and clouds more smoothed might have "added" something.

I think it absolutely lovely; a hint of CCW would make it perfect.

Great composition and use of the filters...any chance of getting more from the orange horizon maybe with slight WB increase?

Very nice Andrew M, and nice repost Andrew A.
The lichen is a nice FG touch and the rock curves lead you right to the sunset.
I think maybe a shorter SS would give more water definition and that would work also.
Well done.

Andrew - Nicely done. I like the comp and the use of the gradients in the rocks as a leading line. I like what Andrew A has done to lighten the rocks and bring out some warmer colors in them (as well as sky).

Rachel

Love how you composed this, Andrew! Beautiful scene, great color, lines, and FG works great. Think the repost was a nice added touch to an awesome image. Nice work!

Hi Andrew,
I like your composition and feel that Andrew's repost adds to the image. Slowing the shutter speed in this image would, I feel, make the image more interesting and give it another dimension.
Well done and thanks for sharing,
Mark.
