Managed to get these two Common Waxbills to sit still long enough to get this shot

Craig, Beautiful background adds nicely to your capture. I like the poses and the perch. In a perfect world the bottom bird would have turned it's head just slightly either way but this is nice as presented.:S3:

Nice composition and very beautiful birds! The bottom bird looks just a bit out of focus but it is a lovely image.

Nice work, Craig! A species that keeps eluding me...:Whoa!:
The bottom bird does look softer than the top one - they were probably close?

I would have been happy to get just one of these, in my experience Waxwings are almost impossible as they rarely sit still and if they do it is in an almost impossble position.

Great stuff:cheers::cheers:

excellent you got two and I also like the composition and placement of the birds, it seems like the focus was on the upper bird, maybe you can sharpen the lower one more.

Well done Craig. I love these little birds but the best I've managed is a single. Lovely BG. I always think that the "Common" in their name is a bit unfair :S3:
