One of your best frames taken in your hide Jonathan! Fantastic pose, with great eye contact, spread wings, and open beak. Sharpness is excellent and your exposure is perfect. Love the perch too. Did you do any cloning around the twig pointing to the left?

Thanks Doug, I had to add canvas from the tip of the tail feathers leftwards. I used Content Aware for as much as possible and just cloned/patched around the immediate tail vicinity. I don't think I did any cloning or patching in the area of the small twig pointing left.
Possibly (???) I have done incomplete sharpening on the twig - I use a Layer Mask for sharpening the subject and a I use Noise Reduction on the background.

Great eye contact. Sense of movement or activity with the wing spread and open beak - looks like he/she is busy. I like the whole side ways pose.

Great capture of a bird in motion with lovely spread wings and tail. If you didn't want to deal with the upper twigs you could crop just below them and have a nicely balanced image.

Jonathan...way to go!! Love the pose, perch, BG, deatils (especially the tail feathers...very cool). I f you have it, I'd add a tiny back above to give room the the tiny stubby branch that has its point almost touching the edge. Great stuff, I knew you'd pull out a few gems out of your backyard setup...
