A juvenile Waxwing, one of hundreds that invade my yard each fall to gorge themselves.
Beautiful "plastic" looking birds though.

Your bird is sharp, well exposed, nice pop of color on tail feathers.
Wish the head was a bit more towards us. Might try to tone down the bright spots in the background a bit, as well as the brighter leaves along his perch, top left.

Dan, good detail on the waxwing, sharp, and certainly lots of colours to look at. I agree, toning down the brighter areas will work.

Berry thieves..I like that! Great look at his youngster that still hasn't got its' "waxwings" Great to have it in close range to berries...it's preferred habitat! A better HA would have been especially good, and that would also have helped with the illumination of the face with the light coming from the right.
