Ofer, loved the low angle and details. two good head angles...which are tough esp. when one of them is a baby.
Looks like the chick was in motion and that SS was a little low for that. you can try a mild round of USM on the chick.

Really great capture! It's something I always try to look for when I photograph Grebes. I agree with Kautubh's comments. In addition, I would prefer to darken the chick just a slight touch.

Hi Ofer, excellent detail on the parent, tack sharp, and overall well exposed. I like the colours on the parent, and agree, that baby looks a touch soft with regards to sharpness. Your choice of aperture was a good call, and if this were mine, I would maybe take a bit off the bottom.

No motion blur at all. However, chick feathers are so thin it needed another round of sharpening - how does the repost look?

Repost looks good - lovley theme and you get a real sense of the dependence of the chick on its parent. You should do realy well with this sort of image with the 800 + 1.4 ext. Chest high in water again Ofer?

Very nice Ofer.
Looks very sharp to me, I think chick feathers just always look "soft", because they are!
Like the head angles and the low shooting angle.

Not chest deep - just sitting in the water as it was a shallow pond....:bg3:
