This ones had a studio effect due to the diffused lighting falling on the bird which was reflected from a wall behind me .

Shutter speed 1/180
Aperture F/5.6
ISO 640
Lens 600MM L IS USM +1.4x
Camera body 1D Mark II N
On Tripod
C&C welcome

Nice bird and BKGR. The left side of the bird could be lightened to even out the exposure a bit more. Perfect head angle for this pose.

Was this created at a set-up?

Lovely pose, BG and details. I may want to try increasing the exposure just a tad on this one.

Nice details and I like the muted light.
I think a bit looser crop would look nice.

I like the inquisitive pose, and overall detail. If this were mine, I would take a bit off the left, and add to the right. I feel there is a slight green cast on the little guy.

Lovely shot I too would suggest a slightly smaller crop and a little more exposure. Now Stuart mentions it I also think there is a slight green cast.

Very cute, looks soft and cuddly :-) I love the pose, and I also like the side lighting in this case. A bit centered compositionally...I'd add canvas above and right. There is a darker spot of the BG along the top of the perch just next to the subject...wonder what caused that?

Nice details! I also love the head pose. I would prefer loosen up the crop a little (give more room on the upper right for the bird to glance up) and less center placement. Also give a bit more exposure...the illumination on the bird seems kind of dead.

Sweet fluffy little thing with a great bg. I agree about a little brightening.

Beautiful bird and great pose! I would add some canvas to the right and top as well.
