On the rare ocassion Dubai gets some real dense fog and I managed to capture this image from above the fog being on the 47th floor of a high rise.

Chris - welcome. Interesting image. I really like the fog. Please post your image specs. I presume this is several exposures blended.

TFS,
Rachel

Hi Rachel

Thanks for looking an commenting...

Yes it was 3 different exposures (-2,0,+2) of the same image, so I suppose not true HDR but certainly got the HDR effect I was looking for.

Used Nikon D700 and Nikon 24-70 2.8 lens
Aperture: F8
ISO: 200

Hi Chris, very nice blend of the images. Love the fog and the tones in this. Nice work!

Hi Chris , great "matrix' type image here ! Very futuristic :) The Tower on the TR has slight halo effect , maybe a cloud but just a small nit from me but outstanding image :)

Welcome Chris. Great first post. Good detail throughout and very futuristic look as mentioned. The positioning of the buildings flow well in the image - left to right in a diagonal.

I agree with Andrew on the halo.

Thank you all for taking the time to look and comment.

I agree about the halo - I am constantly trying to improve my HDR and working on the halo's.

Late to the party here, Chris. Good to see you posting here...:S3:
I like the futuristic/"Matrix" feel here very much...a scene where I feel the "tonemapped" look of "traditional" software-based HDR imagery works very well.

I agree on the halos (another slight one on the top LHS tower)...best way to get rid of them is to engage in manual exposure blending using luminosity masks.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work on here! :bg3:

Thanks for advice and comments Morkel :)

Also, how come my picture does not show up as a thumbnail on the forums? Any ideas?
