caught this shot of a kestrel at the british wildlife centre over the holiday period.
i liked the way he was looking straight at the lens.

I like the mood of this one but on my monitor it may be a tad too dark. I like the straight on look that you're getting and can just see the catchlight in the eyes. This is very sharp and the details. Hand holding that lens in the light you were given....and getting a sharp image was a real feat!!! As a minor nit, you have some sharpening halos that could easily be avoided.....or removed to make this even better.

I wish there was more room to the right. The image also looks a little dark. You did well with the sharpens and details.

When I looked at the thumbnail I expected it to be too dark, but not at full size. I agree regarding the sharpening halo.

Would just select the eye area (his right) and try to lighten a bit I do like the overall feel Agree on the halos Very easy to correct !!! Excellent

Beautiful pose and perch and I like the straight on look too as well as the lovely mood you captured here. I agree about a little more room to the right and the sharpening halos were mentioned. Very nice image.

Very pleasing image. I like the bird, pose, and bg alot. The others have already covered the nits.
