Need new circular polarizer to replace one that was dropped? 77 mm size. I have limited experience with these, for this lens I prefer a screw on rather than a Cokin type filter.

Hi Mack- My philosophy with filters is to buy the best you can afford. I've had good luck with B+W and Hoya HMC Super Multi-Coated series.

I have been using the Hoya and Tiffen polarizers for a few years and have been very happy. They are reasonably priced.

I usually buy B+W or Hoya multicoated filters. It's important to get multicoated filters rather than trying to save money with the cheapest model.

Filters can be a very high markup item in your local camera shop. I usually buy from 2filter.com

I (http://www.2filter.com/index.htm)'ve heard good reports about the Marumi filters but never tried them. They are 50% cheaper than the B+W counterparts.
