This Merlin made the rest of the birds very un-comfortable this AM. And I guess with good cause.
800ISO F8 at 1/2000th
Cleaned up a bit in PS CS5

Joe, good attentive pose, and interesting to see the fanned tail while perched. Comp wise, I would take off at least half from the top.

It is nice bird to have.
Haven't seen one for years.
Love the pose and eye contact as well as the fanned tail.
A visible white line around the contour of the bird is there probably as a result of sharpening.
I was wondering as to what lens and brand you use. (Canon Nikon etc)

Nice sighting, and I love the flared tail. I agree with a crop from above, and I find the image a little too yellow (try adding some blue in "Color balance").
