This White-backed Vulture was sitting apart from all the others, close to a kill in the Kruger Park.
Would appreciate your comments.

Pieter:

This pose shows off his tools of the trade, talons and the ripping bill well. I like the flipped up feathers and the head angle. Sharp.

I would consider loosening the crop all the way around.

Cheers

This is really massive fella. i would certainly agree with randy on loosing the crop around.

What a nice look at that huge foot!! I agree with more room all around (hopefully you have enough to see the extra twig attached to the main perch...if not, it can go), and I'd apply some NR to the BG (noise especially visible at the top half of the sky)

Really like the feathers on the breast and around the neck. A looser crop would help.

Thank you for your constructive comments. Unfortunately there is no room left at top and bottom of the original pic (unless I add canvas) but I can certainly create more room in front of the bird and, Daniel, maybe it is a good idea to get rid of that branch.
