Not so common winter visitor to Bangalore. Always found under thickets.

and still you managed really well on to capture.
I loved the composition and crop may be sliver chop off left may put bird out of center..

Sounds like a difficult subject to get in the open so congrats on getting a clean image of it. Quite sharp for the slow SS (tripod, I assume?). I like the comp as is, I don't find it centered as there is much more room in front than behind (as it should). I do wish for a better head angle, and some fill (if allowed) would have been great here.

very nice...tough one to photograph. this view shows the red color very nicely. very sharp...well done at that SS.

Pittas are such tough birds to photograph but you did well here. Sharp at such a slow shutter speed. I agree on the head angle. I also feel the perch is overpowering but there's not much you can do about it.
