The Marabou Stork , also known as the 'Undertaker bird' . Was shooting flamingoes at Lake Nakuru and got this huge guy fly by close to me .

The light was not so great , so had to up the ISO .

Camera : Canon 1D MK III
Lens : Canon 600mm f4 IS
Aperture : f 7.1
Shutters : 1/1600
Speed : ISO 2500

A wonderful pose, the wings are really nice, especially the far side with the wing tip flip.
Looks really nice for iso2500.

This is amazing. everything is lovable here and you are really become great on deciding upon ISO boost.
HA, EXPO, Sharpness, Colors are extremely good to me and so the framing as well.

cool pose and a nice BG, the under wing is a bit noisy but you are really pushing the limits on the MK3. great overall

Remarkable at that ISO, I would try to boost contrast just a little.

To me the red spot on the back of his neck indicates breeding plumage.

Still a remarkably ugly bird, but fascinating.

Fantastic looking bird with nice soft colors and pose.
I'd have probably chickened out on the iso and would've shot wide open. You did great here, and the light bg probably helped.
Your post processing is great. I do like soft light a lot.
