I see your images are on preview for this year's "Highly Commended" images in the BBC Veolia WPOTY!

Maybe I am missing someone from BPN who is also there? :Whoa!:
Might see a few more when the winners are announced :w3

Thanks, everyone, for your congrats. As a first-time entrant, it's a pretty cool honor for sure.

Arthur, I know you've been there before numerous times but my congrats for your commended image this year. It looked great (very artistic). I look forward to seeing it larger, as with the others, once the others announcements come out.

Cheers,
Greg

Thanks all and congrats to Greg. Wow, what a collection of images and what an honor to be in the group. I think that this is my 7th honored image. I urge all to check out the stuff in the slide show: high key, fog, small in the frame, and crazy-krops (but very creative and original) lead the league. It is obvious that they are looking for a different animal. When I posted my winning image on the blog a while back and asked for critiques half of the boys and girls suggested that I should have deleted it :).

That's pretty funny, Arthur! Good thing you didn't -- it's a beauty for sure.

Cheers,
Greg

Congratulations to both of you. They are awesome images. Artie, I didn't see that post on your blog but I think that is a kick butt picture...out of the box. Same for Greg's. Actually, interesting that they are both high key. The images in the highly honored are amazing so it will be interesting to see the winners.

I have now looked at these images three times, given the extremely poor reproduction on the website it is hard to draw any meaningful conclusions. But in my opinion, with very few notable exceptions this is another triumph for "form over substance".

Thanks for sharing your opinion with us Ken. However it has no place in a thread congratulating BPN honorees in one of the premier nature and wildlife photography contests in the world.

I am confused as to your meaning. Please explain what you mean by another triumph for "form over substance".

Aer,

I had thought that this comment was to be deleted clearly not.
