One from this past spring. I generally don't like to shoot at this angle due to the increased number of flashed highlights that appear throughout the image, but I really liked how the frog was positioned among the dead cattail stems and the duckweed. Spent a considerable amount of time cleaning up the highlights. Photographed in a vernal pond in the abandoned cattle pasture behind my home.

Look forward to comments.

Neat animal, great flash technique, and enough d-o-f where you needed it. I like it!

Hi Andrew. This a beautiful frog - the patterning on the inflated pouch is amazing! Once again, you did a great job cleaning up flash-generated spectral highlights. Very nice diagonal comp and good sharpness where it matters most. In a perfect world, I'd like to see more DOF on the frog's body and legs, but since you're already at f/22, that's not in the cards. Overall, this is a very strong image! :S3:

Andrew...love the frog skin texture and the pouch is amazing! The bg is too busy for my tastes but you probably could do very little about that!

Wow! That's the greenest Gray Treefrog I've ever seen! :S3: You did a great job with the PP work.....no sign at all of those nasty flash highlights.

I think I see a flip hiding in this shot. :bg3:
