I came across this oak tree that must have fallen from some heavy winds. The leaves had this nice rich carmel color and were all curling into each other. I was having fun looking for some interesting comps. I shot this wide open and focused just on the the tip of one leaf and let the shalow DOF softin into the BG.

Very good, moody feel and really pleasing with all the shapes and lines and contours.

I would run some USM on the edges and leaf tips, I see more details just dying to come out!

Hi Mike,
As always....I look first at the picture....then the comments. My original gut feeling was that this would have worked at f22 also! I like this as is.........but agrre with ROT also. There are some great lines in this one.......and a little pop to them might not hurt. If you do have an f22/32 version.......I'd like to see it in comparison form,
Roman

The various curves and shapes blend so well my eye just roams all over the image. I like the emphasis on the sharp point in the FG.
