I just could not decide the best way to crop this bird.

Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 400 DO f4 + 1.4x, tripod, 1/1250, f7.1, ISO 400.

Love this species. He looks summer ratty. Perfect head angle, good EXP, and a nice pose. I'd take about 1/3 to 1/4 of the water off the bottom for a perfect crop.

Terrific exposure on the blacks. I would take a bit off the bottom. The head looks a bit soft to me,
