This shot does give us a nice look at the back. I wish he was looking back at the viewer. I am impressed that you were able to freeze the wings with minimal blur at 1/320!

Dan:'

Excellent dorsal display, shows the speculum very well, just the right amount of motion blur. Water spray a plus.

I do agree with Gail that these shots work best with some of the face showing. I love the dorsal shots on my loons, but find they work most effectively with some eye contact.

Nice colors in the BG too.

Cheers

Ditto the face, however super detail colours and I like the low angle

Dan,

I might be on other side. (Yes if little head portion visible it might look more perfect) But this one also a good to go for me. Perfect geomatrical balance having perfect angle.
You freeze it superbly and that spray is addon. framing is also i like.

Just wish the bg tone changing half green half brown might be in symmetry to have one tone.

I like it. I prefer a perfect backview like this than an angled away pose (although yes, I prefer head-on). Even better would have been for the duck's head swung ever so slightly to its right for both cheeks showing the same amount...but that is asking for alot!:bg3: I love the water drops flying off each wingtip.

I like this because it is different and gives us a view that we don't see as often. The blue is so vivid and looks great against the greens/browns in the background.

DKL. Dan (Cadieux) is too smart and Mital is not far behind. I wish that the duck were looking exactly away because I love the rear view with the speculums looking so beautiful and the nice blur of the wing tip. I only wish that the BKGR on the upper right matched the BKGR of the upper left. All in all a very sweet image. Heck, I might flip that left cheek....

Great lat spread!! (that's a bodybuilding pose) Love to see that nice spread with great colors. I like the splash ywater and the fact that the head is sharp with some nice motion on the wings.
