This is outstanding, Dan! Beautiful portrait, love the fur texture, eye contact, subtle colors, and real nice soft BG.
Minor, but I might be tempted to clone out tips of reeds sticking above the ears. Excellent capture and compostion!

Super detail Dan, you can even see the bumps on the nose. I like the color and diffused look of the grass.

Dan - very nice portrait, one of your best wildlife postings. I like the comp and as said above lots of detail.

Superb image Dan. I too like the comp, detail and above all the wonderfull light in this image. The tips of reed don't bother me as they suit the caption and are quite subtle.

Like the way the head is poking out of the OOF green areas. Nice portrait.

Thanks all for the nice comments. I don't get a lot of wildlife photos, in fact, I was walking in a bird refuge looking for birds
when this guy/gal appeared in the wetland. It was a gray misty early morning, so the light and the diffused grass was
just kind of fortunate.
I am in awe of most of what I see here.

A very endearing portrait captured here Dan - soft light worked well too.
Gives one the feeling of an unexpected sighting - "happen to stumble across a buck while out on a stroll" or something...:tinysmile_shy_t:
