Prairie grasses are turning and the pronghorn coats are looking good. This one was hanging around the big boys but not quite ready to mix it up yet. 7D, 500/4, f4, 1/1000s, ISO 640, +1/3 EC, cropped a bit all around for comp, removed part of a building near the top.

I like this image Steve. Excellent detail, composition, light, angle and wonderful background. I would have decreased the crop at the top of the image and instead of a square crop, made it a little bit more rectangular, otherwise a fine image. TFS.

Hi Steve, not sure if the image looks a little flat because of the time of day? Certainly by giving it a little 'pop' it brings out the image nicely, but then may get away from the mood & feel of the OP and the soft muted colours? Happy as presented re crop.
I didn't realise until recently, these animals are a 'stand alone' animal, with NO links to any other antelope, a unique breed. :S3:

Outstanding, just a fantastic BG and processing.
The layering in the BG is beautiful.
The FG grass is really well done.
Wildlife photo's don't get much better.

Steve - nice pose and I like the prairie grass as the fg and particularly the bands of color in the bg. Nicely captured.

Hi Steve, lovely image and I like the mood and feeling you have created with that great BG. I also like the crop as is with all the layers of colour and feel the blue just rounds it off nicely.

Nice pronghorn. Like the surrounding grass and the muted colors.

Thanks for the comments folks.
Steve,
I took a look at an added contrast version when I was playing around with this one but decided to go with the more muted look. Thought that better captured the light at the time.

Just scrolling down wildlife and noticed this stunning image; couldn't take my eyes off it for awhile. Keep up the excellent work.
