Things are pretty quiet around here right now in upstate NY but I have been practicing out my open window at my feeder set up. Took this a day or two ago. It's a Dark-Eyed Junco.
Darkened branch a bit, did slight sharpening on head. Some crop--enough?
Thank you for looking. C and C very much appreciated.

Bird and perch both are quite beautiful. So the sharpness is.
May be you can recover the Beak at some point.

and the LLC dark patch is a bit distraction

Thanks Mital, that was helpful. Here's a repost with your suggestions.

Melissa

This is good. :S3:

I would run a round of NR on BG (sorry but should have mentioned in first ask).
there are some gradient patches visible so working on original might help..

Hope am not asking too much here :bg3:

Hi Melissa,
Lovely BG, IQ is excellent and I like the repost. Good comp with diagonal perch. I wish for a prettier perch but that is a very minor nit!

Very nice one, Melissa. Comp looks fine to me, and repost is an improvement. Your Irene-blowdown perch looks OK to me.

Very nice composition, Melissa, good sharpness, like the diagonal perch, and beautiful BG color. Repost looks great!

Thanks Brendan, Bill, and Gail. Mital, what do you mean by gradient patches exactly?

I don' really know what the issue was with the original but I like the original one much better.
Great picture.

Melisa,

If you see the glowing round patch just behind birds back and head on RUC look on the radius and you seem to see the small circling patches over to gradient.

Now I see what you mean, Mital. Thanks for clarifying that. I will try NR on the original and see if that works. I appreciate your eye!
