What an awesome looking bird. Looks like it should be headed to the Venice Carnival. Love the warm colors, the sharpness, the pose and perfect HA. Would like to see a bit more room below and to right of bird (mostly below). Great BG too.

Hey Carel, I love this. Killer bird, BKGR; head and crest angles are perfect. Could go a tad brighter with a bit more contrast. Yes to a bit more room below.

Was this at a feeding station?

Sweet bird- I like the alert expression. Love the bg, too. I agree with the extra space needed along the bottom.

Carel, As long as you are in charge you need to spend lots of time looking for a better perch. The one in your image though a bit large for this species if fine but for the broken branch sticking up the bird's butt :e3. Easy to lose in Photoshop with a warped Quick Mask but much simpler to choose and use better perches. :S3:

Beautiful image. very sharp features. I might love to have this . But further ? Yeah Artie has pointed really well on the perch as this is on station you can sure try diff perch option.

I fell in love with this Parid when I was living in Europe; I'd covet a shot this good. The suggestions for improvement are noteworthy. I hope you continue to have good luck with your ever-improving setup.
