I snipped this flower head and photographed it indoors, I just had to do some macro, this has got to be the most unfruitful macro year for me... ever!

Simple. Elegant. Sharp. I love the color and the studio look. Moving the subject left in the frame would make more sense to me as the flower is "looking" to our right.

Artie is right...simple and elegant...the color is stunning, and I love the contrast in curves between the stem and the flower itself. The eye is drawn up, out and down again...very nice composition. I agree about placing the flower more to the left...or maybe simply adding some canvas to the RHS of the frame. Nicely done!

Hi Jonathan. Beautiful colors, interesting shape of flower and stem, and I like the simple studio look (I've been experimenting with that look recently - but using insects as subjects). I would agree with adding a little space on the right. This is very well done!

Interesting and elegant looking flower, Jonathan! Nicely composed, great color, and like the clean studio white BG.

So glad you just had to do some macro! Lovely result. I love the simplicity of this image, as well as the stunning color of the flower. Nicely focused getting everything sharp. I'd clone out the little imperfections in the flower.
