Fantastic. Love the head position and the foot with the talons. Was the bird responding to a tape of its call?

later and love, artie

Hey Judy, I like this one a lot better than the first. I can see the little feathers on his legs and he looks a lot more natural.

This is great - I haven't seen too many in-flight shots of this species. I like the placement in the frame and that beautiful light blue background really makes your subject stand out well.

Many thanks Artie for the comments. This was actually taken in the community where we live. The third phase has not been yet completed so there are vacant lots at the back and this lttle fella decided to make his home there. I have been watching him for a couple of days now and this flight opportunity came when a truck drove by and frighteded him. He flew off and I grabbed the chance to catch him in flight. No tapes were used. He does not have a mate that I know but he sure has been a calling. I feel sorrry for him < smile >

Thanks again
Judy

Great pose and eye contact. The bird looks a bit noisy. Was it originally underexposed?

Stunnig flight shot. For ISO400 it shows a lot of noise indeed. Did you use S/H?

No Andrew there was no S/H used . Only thing I didi in CS3 was crop and it was not a big crop, Levels , curves and one round of USM.. I appreciate your comments.
