~It was a cloudy and calm morning. When I got to the lagoon, I saw a pair of Marbled Godwit was busy hunting for food near the shoreline. I only had a small window where the bird was far enough from the shoreline for the reflection shot. Unfortunately, the small breeze was blowing diagonally, creating the tiny waves. I did not the great reflection that I was after but I got the head on stare at the perfect angle. This was almost a full frame shot.

A beautifully designed image. If I did not know that you saw and IDed the bird I'd have thought that this was a Long-billed Curlew as the bill appears to be decurved rather than upcurved. Love the straight ahead stare.

Nice pose and feather details. The reflection looks good despite the the small waves.

I really like the eye contact here, he looks like he is checking you out! The birds looks especially nice contrasted with the light teal in the bg.
