I photographed this leucistic broad-tailed hummingbird before dawn at my feeders. He only appeared for a few moments and I never saw him again. I needed to combine 2 images in order to rebuild a bit of the tail and the tip of the wing on the left side.

Canon 1D Mark IV, Canon 300 f4 L IS, ISO 1600, f4.5, 1/2000, exp. comp. +1/3

C & C most welcome.

I like this one Nancy. very different. High work works and that head tilt adds a lot. Only issue is noise which I guess cannot be avoided at that high ISO.

Very unique hummer shot. I can't think of any other sots I have seen with they underside view making it look like he is flying over head. Ideally, I wish he was looking down for something, but not much you could have done about that.

Interesting image. Looks like an albino :). I would add some canvas below and on our right (the latter as that is the way the bird is looking). And I would sharpen the face a bit more.

very unique shot of a very unusual leucistic bird. Great Pp work as well.

Thank you all for your comments! I'll add canvas and additional sharpening. I suspect the hummer is keeping his eye on rival birds for the sugar feeder.
