Was not lucky enough to sight a kill , but got a sense of how it would begin . These lions were lazing around when a lone wildebeest crossed them around 300 mts away . While the others did not even look at the prey , this one just became tense and posed for me as if it was ready for the chase . I was also anticipating my big moment ...but it just fizzeled away , as the lioness again came back to rest .

Camera : Canon 1 D Mk III
Lens : 600mm f4 IS
Aperture : 6.3
Shutters : 1/320
Speed : ISO 1600
Exp bias : + 1/3 stop

Cheers,
Rakesh

Thanx Harshad . Yeah I should have mentioned . The original had a nice yellow cast to it , but I was trying out a workflow to remove any cast using the black , white and gray points . It removed the cast completely . Should try one with my normal WF . Will do that and post .

Yes, pose is great. You can crop more to a pano (from top) to accentuate the look of the pose and impending chase. I would have like to seen more room at the tail.

Great stalking pose. I agree with Robert that this would also work well as a pano with some off the top.

Nicely captured pose Rakesh, I allways marvel at the total concentration of these big cats. Like the idea of a more pano crop.

You captured the tense pose perfectly Rakesh...
To me it looks like her belly is either full from a previous meal (explaining why the hunt fizzled out) or she is heavily pregnant?? :Whoa!:

Rakesh, super pose, and the lioness is nice and sharp. Maybe a little more space on the right.
