Amazing action capture with a good look at both bird's heads. An interesting compositional choice going vertical with the three darker colors lower right to balance the birds. A square might work as well or better....

This is a terrific action shot Craig. Great skill in capturing this. Can you tell me what the Bg is?

Thanks for your comments Arthur and Gail, always appreciated.
I used a portriat crop in an attempt to show off some height.
Gail the image was taken in the drakensberg mountains in South Africa on a high ridge so had near level viewing angle with some high peaks in the Bg.

Craig:

Great action here, very intense. I like the comp and colors, but if the IQ will tolerate it, I would also try a much tighter crop on just the birds to increase the sense of conflict even more.

Amazing acrobats.

Cheers

Fantastic action here! I have been to this area and understand that you want to show the incredible ruggedness and heights of these mountains but I agree with Randy that for this image the focus is on the vultures and a tighter crop would enhance that.

Craig, I am slightly confused: are these Breaded Vultures (ready for the frying pan) or Bearded Vultures (head for a shave)? :)

Well spotted Arthur :e3 it is indeed a Bearded Vulture.
Unfortunately a tighter crop will result in loss of detail

No sweat. Not sure how I missed it the first time. I have corrected the spelling in the post title. Keep the good stuff coming.
