Hello Brendon,

Love the lighting, BG and the Composition. Very well done.

Of course the leopard is perfect for the reasons mentioned, but the dark blue BG really sets it apart. I would crop 1/3 of the BG off the top (from top of head to top of image).

Hey Brendon,
I'm with Robert on the crop and do wonder......was this flashed? I am debating the darkness of the sky as compared to the body....but since I like darker BG it does make the leopard pop more. A very nice one for sure!

Lighting expertly handled Brendon...the BG really makes it pop. :Whoa!:
I agree with Robert to try and take some off the top...

Thanks again everyone. Roman, no flash used just a spotlight, i lightened the shadows of the entire image and that is what lightened the bg slightly, it was originally darker. Thanks Morkel, i did think about taking some off the top and prob still could but that would mean loosing some space off the sides and i really dislike changing the aspect ratio.:w3

Hi Brendon
The eyes reveal the soul of this beautiful specimen which you have portrayed excellently. On close examination it appears that the spots on the leopard's back are not as sharp as those on the legs and face. The outline of the back can also do with some sharpening. F4 was probably responsible for this - the DOF seems to extend from the tree limb to the plane of the ears. I am sure that with PS/Topaz these areas can be sharpened. It would have been nice if the tail was not cut off but in shots like this you cant get everything you wish for.

Best wishes

Andre

Normally not a fan of spotlight images but I like the look of this one. Love the wide open eyes with the tiny pupils and the BG color and its contrast with the leopard.

Brendon - beautiful image, great eyes and I too love the bg color. No one else has mentioned it but I see a small halo at the top of the head and the leopard's left ear.

TFS,
Rachel
