Thanks Rudi, wondered how I might title this and with your King, I hope you don't mind taking a spin off from the title. :w3

Shot quite late for me, around 6.30pm at Chiefs, this was the guy who gave me the run around for four days. The light was going quite quickly, probably only had a bout 15 minutes before it was time to put the camera away. I know there will be thoughts of a clearer view, but I feel the blades of grass actually work well with the head emerging from the tall grass, well tall for this guy.

Lovely image great back lighting and well exposed, just the colour look a little off here, maybe too much red??

Here is a repost, just reduced the reds and oranges very slightly and added a little selective lightening to the face and eyes, what do you think?

Really like the repost. A little lighter in the face and the eyes do look sharper.

Steve, I like the comp and don't find the grass distracting. I think the hue/saturation are off but given the time of day it may have been for real. Just hard to visualise if you weren't there.

The grass actually makes this one special Steve! Great eye contact and super cute!:S3:

Might opt for something between the repost and original...

Lovely image, the grass blades adds to the image. I agree, something between the original and the repost.

Hi Steve , cute little guy looks a little lost? I also like it with the grass which makes it more natural. Also like the rim light effect which I have been trying but without much success.

Nicely handled Steve and the repost offers some good tweaks.

Hey Steve,
Sweet rim light! I don't mind the grasses and I too vote for in between the OP and repost. Very nicely done!

Steve - count me among those who do not mind the grass and think that somewhere between the OP and repost will work great.

Rachel
