Taken last week at Ball's Creek, Cape Breton.
canon7D
F 2.8 70-200mm with 1.4 converter at 175mm
SS 1/1600
ISO 400
f 6.3
Cropped to almost full vertical from horizontal shot ~ 50% crop in total
LR 3 and CS5 for linear burn on tail feathers

Beautiful topside detail Gail. Nice sharpness. I like the wispy clouds on the right, but I'd go with a tighter crop and remove the clouds at the top of the frame.

Gail, excellent dorsal view and sharpness. nice BG too. You could have zoomed in more I think.

Gail, very nice view. I agree, a tighter crop would be nice. Good exposure of both whites and dark, which is hard in full sun on this bird.

Gail, if you are at 50% crop, probably about the limit without losing IQ.
I like it, it is a great view and the exposure looks good. Eagles are tough for me against
a blue sky, your whites look good and the feather detail is really nice.

I'd keep the clouds for context. The bird may be small, but the exposure is correct and the eagle is sharp.
