Nice close-up and I like the whispy feathers on the head. The molting brown/black feather pattern on the face is nicely evident. I wish the FG sand was arching down instead of up, but obviously not something you could control!

I'm a sucker for close-up head shots and this one is great! Fantastic feather detail. Nice that the eye is open and this tired youngster is not a sound sleeper:S3:!. The bits of red really add to the pop of the image.
