Captured this bull on Trail Ridge in Rocky Mountain National Park. Getting ready for the Autumn rut. Thanks for looking.

Was not quite happy with the first post. Made a little change.

Increased contrast in the repost suits nicely here Dan, snow patch BG is a tad distracting, he's certainly got your number! :eek3:

Hey Dan,
I like the alpine BG....and repost works for me on the color and contrast. Very nicely done!

What an impressive creature, Dan, and well photographed too. Really like this one and the way you included the habitat is perfect.

Dan,

I like the repost too. The eye and look is killer. Was it possible to move left or right and get the snow out of the image?

Well Dan, you know my thoughts on this already, but the repost has improved things and I really like the fact you have gone larger on this, posting size. IMHO the inclusion of the snow gives the image context & setting, without it I think it would lose a small, but integral part of the scene setting, although the small piece on the LHS could be cloned out as it doesn't add anything for me.

That beady eye really works. :w3

Dan - repost is great. I really like the different pose and how you captured him on the ridge with the distant bg. Nicely done.

Dan great comp and good eye contact from the Elk. I like the light and overall softer coloursin this, and just love the detail on the antlers. Repost works well.

Dan, I like the repost, well done. I don't mind the snow in the BG so much. Maybe if you had moved to your left a tad, it would be nice. Still, a very nice image, TFS

Nice backdrop for this one Dan. Also like the grass in focus throughout and the pose of the bull.
