Taken while looking back at the setting sun. The bg is reflected light off a river.
7D, 70/200mm at 200, 1/100, f/5.6, Av +2/3, ISO800, HH.
I had to do a fair bit of pp to bring up the flower as well as remove some bits and pieces of vines and webs.

Dave, I really like this one...the graduated color and tone in the BG and the almost translucent color in the blooms take it over the top. Nicely done!

Hi Dave. Good job of spotting and photographing this small scene and also a good job in PP. The flower is colorful and interesting, and I like the subtle color gradations in the background and that you didn't take it over the top with saturation. This is very nicely done!

This is very, very good Dave! IMO there is exactly enough color in the stem and flowers and the bkgr is awesome. Because of this bkgr I think you could go a little wider on both sides on still look great with a centered subject. Great shot as is though.

Wonderful and unusual light, great BG and very well composed, although I would like a little more room at the bottom and right. But my guess is there were more vines and plants cluttering up the image there.

Hey Dave,
Besides the bit more room on the RHS already mentioned......and maybe bottom (but go with RHS first) this works very nicely overall! VG use of the light here!
