Migratory transient over Mexico, this specie winter in sudamerica, I was lucky to find this while resting in the middle of Mexico,I follow the advice of Arthur Morris, to photograph at ground level, the only one who did not like was my wife for the clothes...

Good sharpness and nice low angle (sorry about the clothes!). A slightly better head angle would improve this image, and I'd consider a slight CCW rotation (the bird looks like it's swimming uphill). Forgot to mention that I like the pano crop too.

Gorgeous bird, nice low angle and good sharpness. Agree that some head turn would have improve this image even more.
+1 to CCW rotation. If it fits your ethics, cleaning up the dark spots and the vertical line in the water by your sig would be an option.

Great job getting down and dirty!
Excellent detail and water color.

Agree about head angle and rotation.
